During an August 3 appearance on The Breakfast Club, singer‑actress K. Michelle said country artist Shaboozey stopped responding after she asked to collaborate on a song, alleging he “doesn’t like Black women.” She described the silence as a “ghosting” and called him a “tipsy titan.”

Michelle also highlighted broader tensions in the Black country‑music community, noting a lack of support among Black artists and citing fellow singer Mickey Guyton as an ally. She referenced Morgan Wallen, naming him among her “favorite” country performers despite his past controversy. The dispute centers on her upcoming debut country album, Jesus & Whiskey, slated for release on October 16.
