K-pop festival in Chorzów canceled after artist withdrawals

The SOUND IN COLORS x K-POP EXPOSE festival, scheduled for August 15-16 at Tauron Silesia Park in Chorzów, Poland, has been canceled. The organizer, Tower Group Communications, announced the decision following the withdrawal of several major South Korean artists.

Agencies representing artists including ATEEZ, iKON, STAYC, MADEIN, and The Wind issued statements citing the organizer’s failure to fulfill contractual obligations and provide necessary conditions for safe and smooth performances. Reports indicate that artists lacked confirmed details regarding flights and accommodation, and some payments under signed agreements remained unsettled.

Tower Group Communications stated that the cancellation was necessary because the withdrawal of key artists made it impossible to realize the event at the intended scale and production level. The organizer has committed to processing ticket refunds for customers who purchased through the mykpop service.
