K-Royal Culture Festival returns to Seoul palaces this October

The K-Royal Culture Festival returns this fall from October 7-11, featuring a variety of performances, historical reenactments, and cultural programs across Seoul’s major royal sites. The event will take place at Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, and Changgyeonggung palaces, as well as the Jongmyo Shrine.

Following a record-breaking spring edition that drew approximately 725,000 visitors, the fall festival aims to expand access for international tourists through dedicated English-language sessions and reserved ticket allocations. Programming is designed to highlight the seasonal atmosphere, with daytime activities focusing on exhibitions and tours, while evening events offer immersive experiences and performances after dark.

The festivities begin on October 6 with a special edition of the KBS2 music program ‘Immortal Songs’ at Gyeongbokgung Palace’s Heungnyemun Square. This opening-eve event will blend traditional Korean music with K-pop. Other highlights include the ‘Hanbok Royal Banquet’ at Gyeongbokgung, craft exhibitions at Changdeokgung, and historical recreations of royal court life at Changgyeonggung Palace.
