K. SK. Heist to host Royal Antwerp FC in Croky Cup

K. SK. Heist is set to host Royal Antwerp FC on Saturday, October 17, at 5:30 PM in the municipal sports stadium for the Croky Cup round of 32. Following their victory over KV Kortrijk, Heist will face the top-tier side in front of their own supporters, with the club aiming to attract approximately 3,000 fans.

While the matchup offers significant sporting opportunities, the scheduling has presented organizational challenges. K. SK. Heist's general director, Dennis Henderickx, noted that the club had little influence over the kickoff time or the decision to play at Heist's home ground, as the schedule is determined by the Pro League and Play Sports. The club is now preparing for the logistical task of managing the high-profile event with the help of volunteers.

The match also holds personal significance for Heist midfielder Jasper Goossens, who is currently active with Royal Antwerp as a youth scout while playing for Heist.
