K-Street Festival to host free Korean cultural event in Paris

The K-Street Festival, organized by the nonprofit PrimeTime association, will hold its sixth edition on September 5 and 6 at Parc André-Citroën in Paris. Unlike many commercial exports of Korean culture, such as K-pop and K-beauty, the festival operates without ticket sales, mandatory registration, or major corporate sponsorships.

The event aims to showcase Korean culture “outside of mainstream trends,” deliberately avoiding the organized economy of scarcity often seen in the global Hallyu wave. This community-driven approach contrasts with the increasing commercialization of Korean cultural influence in Europe.
