K3 Inc. and Ryukyu Bank partner to address child welfare in Okinawa
K3 Inc. and Ryukyu Bank have signed a partnership agreement to address various social challenges facing children in Okinawa. The collaboration aims to improve child and child-rearing support, linking these efforts to increased corporate value and regional revitalization.
As the first phase of this initiative, the two companies will implement a project selected by the Children and Families Agency’s ‘Companies Growing with Children’ promotion program. Key activities include conducting surveys of local companies, facilitating collaboration between businesses supporting child welfare and support organizations, and developing ‘Child-Lens Investment’ (CLI) products that prioritize children's rights and well-being.
Ryukyu Bank intends to move beyond traditional social contributions, such as financial education, toward a self-sustaining model that uses corporate investment and lending to solve regional issues. K3 Inc. will provide expertise in visualizing child-related challenges and is currently working with UNICEF to develop strategies for introducing Child-Lens Investment to the Japanese market.
