KAA Gent advances to Conference League play-offs

KAA Gent has advanced to the UEFA Europa Conference League play-offs after securing a 1-1 draw against IFK Göteborg. Following a 1-0 victory in the first leg, the result was sufficient for Gent to progress to the next stage, where they will face Hibernian.

Coach Rik De Mil noted that while the team lacked efficiency in finishing chances, the squad is showing progress. He highlighted that the team is improving as new players integrate into the system.

Following the departure of Wilfried Kanga to Al Fateh for nearly five million euros, De Mil indicated that the club may need to evaluate the squad's offensive depth.
