KAA Gent faces recent setbacks following losses in cup and Europe

KAA Gent, currently leading the Jupiler Pro League, has experienced a period of difficult results following a strong start to the season. The club recently suffered a 3-3 draw against amateur side Union Rochefortoise, resulting in an exit from the Croky Cup, followed by a 2-0 defeat against Braga in the Conference League.

Despite these losses, coach Rik De Mil and players such as Tibe De Vlieger and Siebe Van der Heyden have maintained a calm perspective. De Mil noted that while the team attempted to compete with Braga, the Portuguese side deserved the victory. He emphasized that the team has been working consistently for months and that he has remained realistic even during their unbeaten streaks.

Players expressed confidence in the squad's ability to remain united during these challenges. The team is now preparing for a high-profile league match against Anderlecht.
