Kaali Kheti rural horror film set for October 2026 release

The rural horror film ‘Kaali Kheti’ is scheduled for theatrical release on October 23, 2026. Directed and written by Haris Imtiyaz Khan and produced by Sana Khan under BlackCanvas Studio, the project features a cast including Jackie Shroff, Sharad Kelkar, and Neha Sargam.

The film utilizes a rural setting to explore themes of agriculture, family, and buried secrets through a horror lens. Director Haris Imtiyaz Khan described the concept as an attempt to examine agriculture from a perspective that is both fresh and disturbing, acting as a mirror to society within a fantastical world.

A newly unveiled poster provides a first look at the film, featuring atmospheric imagery of a lantern against a weathered face to establish an ominous tone while maintaining the central mystery of the narrative.
