KABIL reports progress on Cortaderas mining project in Fiambalá

A delegation from India, including representatives from Khanij Bidesh India Limited (KABIL), the Geological Survey of India (GSI), and Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL), met with Catamarca Governor Raúl Jalil to discuss progress on the Cortaderas project in Fiambalá.

The project, managed by KABIL, is situated on land belonging to the provincial mining company CAMYEN. The visit aimed to advance the Cortaderas project and explore new opportunities within CAMYEN’s properties. Following participatory environmental monitoring conducted in September involving local authorities and residents, an informative meeting is scheduled in Fiambalá to share project updates and upcoming activities with municipal authorities and local business chambers.

The Indian delegation also conducted field inspections of other CAMYEN areas to evaluate their mineral potential and strengthen ties between Indian institutions and the mining sector in Catamarca.
