Kabuki actor Nakamura Shichinosuke announces birth of first daughter

Kabuki actor Nakamura Shichinosuke announced on his radio program that his wife, Anna, gave birth to their first child, a daughter, on August 11. Nakamura, who is 43, shared the news personally, noting that he was present for the birth and that both mother and child are in good health.

The birth is a significant milestone for the family, as it marks the first female child born into the lineage in over 70 years. Nakamura, a prominent onnagata (actor of female roles), married Anna in April last year. He continues to perform at the Kabuki-za and other venues as part of the Nakamura family's artistic legacy.
