Kabuki‑za Souvenir Shop Hosts August Traditional Confectionery Fair
From August 2 to August 26, the souvenir shop on the second basement level of Tokyo’s Kabuki‑za theater will hold a special fair featuring a selection of long‑standing Japanese confectionery makers. Vendors include Kyoto’s Kameya Ryōei with its apricot‑lemon flavored Kura‑tama, Tsuruyajishin’s yuzu‑mochi, Hyōgo’s Kasaneo crepe‑sand cookies, Fukuoka’s Usono‑mochi, and other regional specialties such as Kumano‑tea house nuts and Shimane’s Kakoi‑ume. Each product is priced between ¥972 and ¥1,600 and will be available only during the limited dates outlined for each item.
