KAC defeats Graz99ers 6-2 in ICE Hockey League

In the ICE Hockey League, KAC secured its fifth consecutive victory of the season with a 6-2 win against the Graz99ers. The defending champions, Graz99ers, played with a depleted roster due to a virus that sidelined several players, including Chris Collins, Marcus Vela, Jakob Lippitsch, David Maier, and goalkeeper Nico Wieser.

KAC took an early lead through Paul Stapelfeldt within 34 seconds, followed by goals from Nick Petersen and Mattias Göransson. Additional scoring from Travis St. Denis and Raphael Herburger extended the lead to 5-1 by the second period. Graz99ers managed two goals via Josh Currie and Will MacKinnon.

Elsewhere in the league, EC Red Bull Salzburg earned its first win of the season, defeating Ferencvaros Budapest 6-3. Other results included losses for Black Wings Linz against Pustertal (4-5), VSV against Olimpija Ljubljana (2-6), and Pioneers Vorarlberg against Ferencvar (2-3). In the Tirol derby, Bozen defeated HC Innsbruck 4-3.
