Kacper Tomasiak honored as youngest recipient of Bielsko-Biała merit title

Ski jumper Kacper Tomasiak has been awarded the title ‘Merit to the City of Bielsko-Biała’, becoming the youngest recipient in the local government's history. The official ceremony took place on September 24, 2026, during a session of the City Council, where Tomasiak received his diploma from City Council Chairwoman Dorota Piegzik-Izydorczyk and Mayor Jarosław Klimaszewski.

The honor recognizes Tomasiak’s significant athletic achievements, specifically his performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo. During those games, he secured three medals: a silver in the individual normal hill competition, a bronze in the individual large hill competition, and a silver in the team event alongside Paweł Wąsek.

City officials praised the athlete's talent, hard work, and exemplary attitude, noting that his success serves as an inspiration to other residents, particularly young people. The City Council had unanimously approved the decision to grant the title earlier in April 2026.
