Kadek DW, 35, Found Dead at Pantai Purnama, Gianyar, Bali

A 35‑year‑old man identified as Kadek DW, a private‑sector employee from Pemogan, Denpasar, was discovered dead on 5 August 2026 at Pantai Purnama in the Sukawati district of Gianyar, Bali. He was found wedged between wave‑breaking rocks on the beach.

Local police (Polsek Sukawati) received the first report at 11:32 WITA from a beachgoer and immediately dispatched officers, along with BPBD, Satpolairud, and PMI teams, to secure the scene. The body was evacuated and taken by ambulance to Prof. Ngoerah Hospital in Denpasar for identification and further examination. The cause of death remains under investigation, pending medical‑forensic results.

Family members said Kadek DW had left home on 3 August and sent a WhatsApp message indicating he was at Pantai Purnama. Police, led by Kompol I Nyoman Wiranata, continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
