Kadiogo and Zalissa Zongo lead performances at National Youth Sports Games

The 4th edition of the National Youth Sports Games (JNRES) in Bobo-Dioulasso has seen significant performances in cycling and athletics.

In cycling, the Kadiogo region dominated the team time trial events for both boys and girls. The boys' team secured first place with a time of 9 minutes 48.17 seconds, averaging 40.408 km/h, narrowly beating the Nando region. In the girls' category, Kadiogo achieved a sweep of the top two positions, with Team A winning gold in 10 minutes 00.78 seconds.

In athletics, Zalissa Zongo of Guiriko won the women's 100-meter sprint with a time of 11.92 seconds. She finished ahead of Océane Nassouri of Gulmu, who took second place, and Gisèle Sanou of Guiriko, who took bronze. National technical director Théophile Sawadogo noted the promising emergence of new talent from various regions during the competition.
