Kadir İnanır's estate dispute intensifies as nephew contests will

A legal dispute has emerged regarding the estate of late Turkish cinema icon Kadir İnanır, who passed away on June 26. His nephew, Levent İnanır, has formally contested the will that leaves the entirety of the actor's assets to his long-term partner, Jülide Kural.

Levent İnanır alleges that the will was not signed with full mental capacity, citing his uncle's serious health struggles, including treatment for heavy brain clots and the use of various medications. He claims the process of creating the will, which was updated three times over six years, was rushed and relied on a single day's medical report and only two witnesses.

The legal proceedings, which were originally scheduled for September, have been postponed to December 17 due to notification deficiencies. While the actor's lawyer, Bişar Abdi Alınak, confirmed that all real estate, bank savings, vehicles, and copyrights were bequeathed to Kural, the nephew argues that the decision ignores the needs of other family members and fails to reflect the actor's known wishes, such as establishing a school in his hometown of Fatsa.
