Kadir İnanır's inheritance case postponed to December 17

The legal proceedings regarding the estate of legendary Turkish actor Kadir İnanır have been postponed to December 17 at 09:30 due to failure to serve official notifications to several heirs. The case, held at the Beykoz Courthouse, involves three separate wills prepared by İnanır: one in 2015 and two more in 2022.

There are allegations that the majority of İnanır’s significant assets—which include substantial cash, real estate, a collection of 25 Rolex watches, luxury lighters, and a rare collection of 3,000 frog figurines—were left to his longtime partner of 27 years, Jülide Kural. Reports suggest Kural also requested that, upon her death, the assets be distributed among human rights organizations and educational institutions.

Family members, including İnanır’s nephew Levent İnanır, have raised concerns regarding the validity of the later wills. Levent İnanır noted that the actor suffered from severe health issues, including brain clots and periods of intensive care, suggesting potential “willpower issues” during the time the documents were drafted. Legal counsel Hikmet Altunkalem stated that while the 2022 documents may have superseded the 2015 will, the final distribution will only be confirmed once the documents are officially read and heirs decide whether to accept or contest them.
