KADOKAWA announces new manga and light novel releases for August 2026

KADOKAWA has announced several upcoming releases and promotional activities for its publishing imprints.

On August 17, 2026, the company will release ‘Nito to Tsuzuka no Nichijou Re 1’, a sequel to the popular BL manga series by author Satou to Shio. The series, which has previously ranked highly in manga popularity rankings at AnimeJapan, follows the evolving relationship between the characters Nito and Tsuzuka as they transition into adulthood and professional life.

Additionally, KADOKAWA is promoting the release of ‘Kido Tensei’, a new light novel by Shoji Gatoh, author of ‘Full Metal Panic!’, scheduled for release on August 20, 2026. To celebrate the launch, a collaborative video featuring Gatoh and the YouTube program ‘Washagana TV’ is set to premiere on August 27, 2026. KADOKAWA is also conducting a crowdfunding project to produce life-sized advertisements for the protagonist robot, ‘Raydas’, with plans to display them in the Kanto region.
