KADOKAWA to release Momotaro Dentetsu 2 children's encyclopedias

KADOKAWA Game Linkage has announced the release of two new children's encyclopedias based on the video game series ‘Momotaro Dentetsu 2: Anata no Machi mo Kitto Aru’. The books, titled ‘First Prefecture Encyclopedia: East Japan Edition’ and ‘West Japan Edition’, are scheduled for publication on November 20, 2026.

Designed for young children from preschool to early elementary school, the books aim to teach Japanese geography through themes such as local specialties, gourmet food, festivals, nature, history, and famous figures. Each 32-page full-color book will feature extensive photography and simple text to stimulate curiosity. The publications also include interactive elements like checkboxes for children to mark places they have visited or food they have eaten, intended to serve as companions during family travels.
