Kadu Moliterno addresses ageism in the acting industry

Brazilian actor Kadu Moliterno, 74, has spoken out against ageism within the entertainment industry. In a video shared on Instagram, the actor, who has a 55-year career spanning theater, cinema, and television, addressed the challenges of aging as a professional.

Moliterno stated that the issue is not the aging process itself, but rather the perception that older performers lose their relevance. “The problem is when they think you have ceased to be interesting,” he remarked, emphasizing that he continues to study, train, and remains eager to tell new stories. He asserted that actors do not have an expiration date.

The actor, known for his roles in the 1980s and most recently in the 2019 production ‘Topíssima’, received significant support from fans and colleagues on social media, many of whom expressed a desire to see him return to major television networks.
