Kaduna politicians defect from ADC to APC
Muhammad Sa’idu, a former Kaduna State Commissioner for Finance and ally of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During a ceremony in Zaria, Sa’idu claimed that the ADC is effectively dead in Kaduna State. He stated that his group, the Kaduna De-Initiatives, had built the ADC's structure from the ward to the state level but decided to leave after alleging the party was hijacked by a specific family.
Sa’idu reported that over 200,000 card-carrying ADC members have joined the APC, including 100,000 who defected a month prior. The defection included prominent political figures such as former ADC governorship aspirant Jafaru Sani and former Senator Suleiman Abdu Kwari.
