Kaduna State approves N810m grant for 4,050 vocational graduates

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has approved N810 million in financial support for 4,050 graduates of the Kaduna State Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development. Each graduate will receive N200,000 to assist with the transition from training to productive employment or entrepreneurship.

The funds will be administered through the Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency (KADSEDA/KADENDA). The grant is intended to help beneficiaries purchase essential tools, secure seed capital, obtain professional registration, or cover transportation costs while seeking work.

To complement the financial aid, the state government is engaging with industries to facilitate apprenticeships, internships, mentorships, and subcontracting opportunities. Additionally, a digital platform is being developed to connect graduates with employers and track employment outcomes. Governor Sani stated that the program's success will be measured by the number of enterprises established, improved incomes, and the overall transformation of communities.
