Kaduna State Governor implements healthcare initiatives
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has taken two significant steps to bolster healthcare services in the state. First, the state government donated an ambulance to the Kaduna State Chapter of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) to support its hospital on Katuru Road, which has provided free medical services for nearly thirty years.
Additionally, Governor Sani signed into law the establishment of the Kaduna State College of Post-Basic Nursing Sciences in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area. The new tertiary institution aims to address specialist nurse shortages by offering advanced training in fields such as midwifery, psychiatric nursing, intensive care, and pediatric nursing. The college is intended to strengthen clinical expertise and improve maternal and child care across the state.
