Kaduna state gunmen kidnap Christians and infant in Nigeria

Suspected Fulani gunmen have carried out a series of attacks in Kaduna state, Nigeria, involving killings and kidnappings. On October 6, assailants broke into homes in the Rahusa Estate area of Millennium City, Chikun County, abducting five Christians and a six-month-old baby. Among the victims were a pregnant woman and another woman with an infant. One family of three—a man, his wife, and their daughter—was kidnapped, with bandits reportedly demanding a ransom of 350 million naira ($263,000) for their release.

Similar violence occurred in Ungwan Waziri village on October 1, where a Christian man was killed and several others were abducted, including a nine-year-old boy and his uncle. Residents reported that the attackers used force to break through walls to reach victims. Other affected communities in the region include Maraban Rido and Bagado, as local residents express growing concern over the surge in targeted violence against Christian communities.
