Kaduna State pensioners endorse Governor Uba Sani for re-election

Uba Sani Kaduna State Nigeria Union of Pensioners pension payments re-election endorsement

The Kaduna State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) has endorsed Governor Uba Sani for a second term. During a courtesy call on Tuesday, the union presented an award to the Governor, citing his administration’s efforts to support senior citizens.

Union officials reported that the Governor has released over N21 billion to settle outstanding gratuities and death benefits within his three-year tenure. Comrade Alhassan Balarabe Musa, the state secretary of the union, noted that this amount represents approximately 60% of what the previous administration paid over an eight-year period.

According to the NUP, pensioners in Kaduna State are now receiving entitlements promptly, sometimes even before civil servants receive their salaries, addressing previous delays of several weeks at the local government level.
