ZDF warns of ‘Bares für Rares’ impersonation scam
ZDF and participants of the television show ‘Bares für Rares’ are warning viewers about a rising online fraud scheme. Scammers are impersonating show experts and dealers on platforms like Kleinanzeigen.de to gain the trust of sellers by posing as interested buyers of rare items or artworks.

Expert Annika Raßbach has advised viewers to report suspicious activity to the police and noted that official contact only occurs through authorized channels.
