KAGİDER hosts networking event for female entrepreneurs in Turkey

The Turkish Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGİDER) held its second Entrepreneurship and Procurement Meeting in Istanbul to increase female entrepreneurs' access to corporate procurement processes. The event brought together 185 female entrepreneurs and 85 procurement professionals from 57 different companies.

During the event, 1,300 one-on-one meetings were conducted to evaluate new commercial connections and supply chain collaborations. KAGİDER Board Chair Esra Bezircioğlu emphasized that integrating women into corporate supply chains is a strategic business decision that enhances company competitiveness rather than just a social responsibility initiative.

Despite the availability of various support programs from institutions such as KOSGEB, the Ministry of Trade, and public banks, experts note that many female entrepreneurs remain unaware of available incentives and financing opportunities, particularly regarding e-commerce and business scaling.
