Kahitna honors late member Carlo Saba at 40th anniversary concert

The legendary Indonesian music group Kahitna held a concert at NICE PIK 2 in Jakarta to celebrate their 40-year career. During the event, the group included a virtual tribute to the late Carlo Saba, who passed away in 2023.

During the performance of the song ‘Katakan Saja’, visual representations of Saba were displayed on the side of the stage. Vocalist Mario Ginanjar stated that although Saba is physically gone, his spirit remains part of the group, noting, ‘Kahitna remains nine, even though his body is no longer here.’

Founder Yovie Widianto also honored his late friend by performing ‘Permaisuriku’, a song composed by Saba during Kahitna’s classic disco era in Jakarta. The concert, titled ‘KAHITNA 40 TAHUN: Di Antara Takkan Tergantinya Cantik & Titik Nadir Mantan Terindah’, also featured performances by RAN, Tiara Andini, Monita Tahalea, Arsy Widianto, and Niki Becker.
