Kahlef Hailassie signs with Green Bay Packers practice squad

Kahlef Hailassie has joined the Green Bay Packers' practice squad following his release from the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings terminated Hailassie's practice squad contract to make room for outside linebacker Kenny Dyson Jr.

Hailassie, a former undrafted free agent who played college football at Oregon and Western Kentucky, has experience at both cornerback and safety. His professional career includes stints with the Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Browns, and Jacksonville Jaguars. During the 2025 preseason with the Vikings, he transitioned primarily to safety, recording 13 tackles and two interceptions.
