Kahone inaugurates Mbégane Ndour Socio-cultural Center

Moussa Balla Fofana, the Minister of Urbanism, Territorial Collectivities, and Land Planning, officially inaugurated the Mbégane Ndour Socio-cultural Center in Kahone, Kaolack region, on October 2, 2026.

Rehabilitated through a partnership with the Local Development Agency (ADL), the facility is designed to promote digital inclusion and local development. The center features a library, a conference hall, and a modern computer room. It is part of the ‘E-Territoire’ program, which aims to support the digital transformation of local authorities and facilitate access to electronic public services.

The Minister encouraged local youth, women, artisans, and entrepreneurs to utilize the space for research, training, and creation. To ensure the facility's longevity, a management and exploitation protocol has been signed between the ADL and the commune of Kahone.
