Kahramanmaraş begins construction on three-story interchange
Construction is progressing on the North Ring Road West Entrance project in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey. This infrastructure initiative is a collaborative effort between the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality and the General Directorate of Highways.
The project features the construction of a three-story interchange in the Kılavuzlu region, which is expected to be the city’s first three-story transportation structure. The development includes underpasses, new roads, and bridge connections designed to alleviate traffic congestion between the city center, the West Ring Road, the North Ring Road, and the Kılavuzlu route.
Additionally, the existing Ceyhan Bridge will be expanded with new lanes for both directions of travel to improve traffic flow. Current works involve reinforced concrete, iron reinforcement, and the construction of bridge piers. The project is targeted for completion by the final quarter of 2027.
