Kahramanmaraş begins Kuddusi Baba Boulevard renovation

The Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality has launched a comprehensive renovation project for Kuddusi Baba Boulevard. The initiative aims to repair deformations in the road and superstructure caused by infrastructure and construction activities following the February 6 earthquakes.

The project involves more than just laying hot asphalt. The renovation plan includes the installation of walking paths, intersections, medians, landscaping, and new lighting systems to provide a modern appearance and safer transportation for residents and new settlement areas.

Work is being coordinated by the Department of Road Construction, Maintenance, and Repair. Crews are currently scraping away the old, deformed asphalt layers to prepare the ground for a new, two-way hot asphalt coating designed to be more durable and comfortable for commuters.
