Kahramanmaraş launches livestock support program for producers

The Kahramanmaraş Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has announced the “Bir Sürü Olsun” (Let There Be a Herd) Project to increase breeding livestock populations and strengthen small-scale enterprises. Applications for the program opened on November 4, 2026, and will remain open until November 13.

Under the initiative, producers can receive packages consisting of 16 cattle, including 15 pregnant female beef breeds and one breeding male. Each applicant may request between one and three packages, with a maximum allocation of 48 animals per person, provided they meet the necessary conditions and pay a 3,000 TL guarantee per animal.

Priority will be given to women, youth, family businesses, and producers located in the earthquake zone. To qualify, applicants must be Turkish citizens over the age of 18, have their enterprises registered in the TÜRKVET system for at least one year, and maintain a capacity of no more than 200 head. Public employees and legal entities are ineligible for the program.
