Kahramanmaraş Municipality hosts DMD Awareness Day event

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality organized a special event to observe World Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) Awareness Day on September 7. The program, held at Çamlıca Restaurant, brought together children living with DMD and their families for a dinner accompanied by live music.

Under the leadership of Mayor Fırat Görgel and the municipality’s ‘Barrier-Free Kahramanmaraş’ vision, the initiative aimed to strengthen social solidarity and increase public awareness regarding the genetic muscle-wasting disease. The event included various activities designed for children to provide moral support and motivation to families navigating the challenges of the condition.
