Kahramanmaraş Tour of Turkey Cycling Race Ends with International Winners

The 3rd International Kahramanmaraş Bicycle Race, organized by the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, the Turkey Cycling Federation and the Youth and Sports Directorate, concluded after three demanding stages. The third stage covered 145 km from the historic Eshab‑ı Kehf complex through Afşin, Göksun and Andırın to the Başkonuş plateau, and was described as the longest and toughest of the event. Solution TechNippoRali rider Abner Santiago Umba Lopez won that stage.

In the final stage on the Yeşilgöz‑KAFUM route, Dusan Rajovic finished first, with Tomas Barta second and Lucas Carstensen third. The race attracted 175 cyclists from 31 countries. Local officials highlighted the event’s importance: Mayor Fırat Görgel praised the tournament for promoting the city, MP İrfan Karatutlu noted its symbolic value after the 2023 earthquakes, and Federation President Emin Müftüoğlu emphasized that the inclusion of a professional team marked a first for this category in Turkey.
