Kai Asakura secures TKO victory over Aori Chilun at UFC Shanghai

Japanese mixed martial artist Kai Asakura secured a TKO victory against China's Aori Chilun at UFC Fight Night in Shanghai. The win marks Asakura's second consecutive victory since moving from the flyweight division back to bantamweight.

During the second round, Asakura landed a clean left high kick to the temple, followed by a series of punches that forced Chilun to the ground. Asakura finished the fight with knee strikes and ground-and-pound, ending the bout at 34 seconds into the second round. Despite a brief interruption in the first round due to an accidental eye poke, Asakura maintained control through his striking and distance management.

Following the match, Asakura expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating, “My striking is at its best! Next, I want a big fight!” The victory has drawn significant attention in both Japan and China, particularly as Asakura seeks to establish himself as a top contender in the UFC bantamweight division.
