Kai Cenat debuts VIVET fashion collection at NYFW
Digital creator Kai Cenat officially debuted his fashion brand, VIVET, with a runway show during New York Fashion Week on September 12. The inaugural ‘Collection 1’ features 20 to 21 pieces, including streetwear, luxury leather goods, and accessories. The collection was presented in three acts—Origin, Exploration, and Authorship—transitioning from oversized, unfinished silhouettes to more structured, tailored pieces.
Notable items include a luxury streamer backpack designed to house broadcasting gear, available in a functional version for $550 and a standard version for $995. The collection also features items such as a Raglan Zip Up Jacket priced at $1,195, alongside more accessible pieces like journals for $20.
The launch has drawn significant attention and mixed reactions. While the star-studded event included guests like Lauryn Hill and Law Roach, the brand has faced online criticism regarding its high price points and aesthetic similarities to Kanye West’s Yeezy brand. Additionally, fellow streamer xQc criticized the utility of fashion shows and the perceived quality of certain garments.
