KAI Commuter adds 16 daily KRL trips Solo‑Yogyakarta, effective July 7 2026

KAI Commuter will operate 16 commuter‑train (KRL) trips per day on the Solo Balapan–Yogyakarta Tugu route starting Tuesday, 7 July 2026. The service costs Rp 8,000 per one‑way ticket and takes roughly 1 hour 10 minutes. Trains will run from about 05:00 WIB at Tugu and the final departure from Tugu will be at 22:35 WIB, with the last return from Solo at 23:47 WIB. Ten stations are served: Palur, Solo Jebres, Solo Balapan, Purwosari, Ceper, Klaten, Brambanan, Maguwo, Lempuyangan and Tugu. KAI Commuter urges commuters and students to use the service to avoid road congestion. Tickets can be purchased through the Go‑Jek GoTransit app, paid via GoPay, and accessed with a QR code at station gates.
