KAI Commuter reduces Jabodetabek KRL trips for intensive maintenance

KAI Commuter has implemented temporary adjustments to the Jabodetabek Commuter Line schedule starting Monday, September 7, 2026, due to intensive maintenance of KRL train sets. The maintenance, conducted in collaboration with PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero), aims to ensure passenger safety and operational reliability.

As a result of the maintenance, the total number of daily trips has been reduced from 1,065 to 1,048. A total of 17 trips are affected, primarily during morning and evening peak hours. Specifically, seven morning trips from Bogor, Cilebut, and Depok toward Manggarai or Jakarta Kota have been canceled, and five trips from Jakarta Kota toward Bogor have been adjusted. In the afternoon and evening, two trips from Manggarai to Bogor and three trips from Bogor have also been adjusted.

VP Corporate Secretary Karina Amanda stated that the adjustments are temporary and necessary to prioritize safety. Commuters are advised to check schedules in advance to account for potential changes in waiting times.
