Kai Hansen announces new solo album ‘Born With A Hammer’

Musician Kai Hansen has announced the release of his new solo album, ‘Born With A Hammer’, scheduled for September 18, 2026, via earMusic. Hansen, known for his work with Helloween and Gamma Ray, described the project as a departure from his usual musical style, noting that it was not intended to sound like his previous bands.

The songwriting process began during the COVID-19 pandemic as a personal creative outlet. Hansen stated that the album incorporates diverse influences, including heavy Euro Dance and reggae elements, the latter of which was inspired by his time spent in Thailand. He emphasized that the solo project allowed him the freedom to experiment without the constraints of his established musical genres.
