Kai Havertz discusses playing superstitions and favorite Arsenal goals
Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has shared personal insights regarding his playing habits and favorite career moments during an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on the club’s official website.
Havertz revealed that wearing long sleeves on the pitch has become a superstition for him. He explained that he feels uncomfortable in short sleeves and prefers the sensation of having his arms covered, even in extreme heat. He noted that he maintained this habit during training and matches in high temperatures, such as during a camp in Singapore where it reached 45°C.
Regarding his career at Arsenal, Havertz identified his goal in last season’s Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain as his favorite. Despite Arsenal losing the match, he described the emotional experience and the goosebumps following the goal as the best feeling he has ever had on a football pitch. He also named his winning goal against Burnley, which secured the Premier League title, as his second favorite strike.
