Nineteen‑year‑old Kai Trump, the granddaughter of former US President Donald Trump, made her first high‑profile appearance at the 2026 ESPY Awards in New York City. She arrived in a custom gold gown by Alice + Olivia, which was highlighted by the Daily Mail as "best‑dressed". In a vlog she said, "I got best dressed" and added, "I haven't won an ESPY yet, but next year we're coming for that."

Kai is also a University of Miami collegiate golfer and will join the women's golf team for the 2026‑27 season. She told Fox & Friends that her drive comes from her grandfather, saying, "I probably got this desire for success from him." Donald Trump has praised her game, noting she has a zero handicap and calling her "fantastic" on the course.
