Kai Trump explains frequent weekend trips home from University of Miami

Kai Trump, a freshman student-athlete at the University of Miami, has shared that she returns home to Jupiter, Florida, nearly every weekend.

Trump explained that her demanding schedule as a member of the Hurricanes women’s golf team—which includes early morning training sessions, golf practice, and classes—leaves her exhausted. She noted that returning home provides a sense of recovery, stating, “when I go home, I feel like it’s just like vacation.”

In addition to the need for rest, Trump mentioned that her golf equipment, trainers, and coaches remain based in her hometown, making frequent trips practical. She expressed that her primary focus at the university is her golf career rather than the Miami social scene.
