Kai Trump begins collegiate golf career at University of Miami

Kai Trump, the granddaughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, has begun her freshman year at the University of Miami as a member of the women’s golf team. In recent social media updates, Trump shared the challenges of transitioning to collegiate life, noting that her demanding schedule as a student-athlete—which includes 5:00 a.m. wake-up calls—leaves little time for social activities or exploring Miami.

Trump also detailed recent health struggles following her move, reporting that she dealt with simultaneous strep throat and sinus infections, as well as food poisoning. Additionally, she expressed the emotional difficulty of leaving her family and friends in Jupiter to start this new chapter.

Her collegiate golf career is already underway, with her debut occurring at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in South Carolina.
