Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara anime announces 2027 debut

A teaser trailer and synopsis have been released for the upcoming anime Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara, scheduled to debut in 2027. The production is a collaboration between Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation.

Set in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, the story takes place in the year 2070 following the ‘Skyfall Disaster,’ a catastrophic event caused by a supernova explosion that led to the collision of multiple space stations. This disaster introduced unknown space bacteria to Earth, resulting in the emergence of lifeforms known as ‘Transliminal Organisms.’

Humanity has retreated into isolated cities to escape the ‘Zone,’ the untamed territories inhabited by these creatures. The narrative follows Maru, a boy living peacefully in one of these cities, and Coco, a girl from the Aidara tribe living within the Zone.
