Cruzeiro signs Gabriel Rojas as Kaiki Bruno departs for Italy

Brazilian club Cruzeiro confirmed the signing of Argentine left‑back Gabriel Rojas from Racing on a contract until the end of 2029. The 29‑year‑old arrived on a fee of roughly $6 million (about €5 million) and is expected to strengthen the defence for the 2026 season.

At the same time, Cruzeiro finalized the transfer of 23‑year‑old Brazilian left‑back Kaiki Bruno to Serie B side Como. The deal is structured as a loan with an obligation to purchase 80 % of his economic rights for around €14 million, with bonuses that could raise the total to €16 million. Flamengo had been monitoring Kaiki but will no longer pursue him.

The club also used the pre‑season gathering at its training centre to integrate Rojas, introduce several academy players, and announce other roster changes, including the departure of forward Janderson to Moreirense and loan moves for Bruno Alves and Japa. Cruzeiro is preparing for the upcoming Campeonato Brasileiro and Libertadores campaigns.
