Kailani Ibrahim Kpa arrested for alleged visa fraud

Kailani Ibrahim Kpa, a prominent Ghanaian football supporter known globally as the ‘Powder Man’ during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has been arrested and appeared in court over allegations of visa fraud.

According to reports, Kpa was apprehended by the Documentation and Visa Fraud Unit of the Ghana Police Service in East Legon, Accra, on August 24, 2026. He is accused of collecting thousands of dollars from at least 13 individuals by promising to facilitate travel visas to the United States, Canada, and Nicaragua.

Allegations suggest that after the funds were collected, the promised visas were not secured and victims did not receive refunds. Kpa reportedly appeared before the Accra Circuit Court on August 26, 2026, to face these charges. Investigations are ongoing, and it remains unclear if a formal plea has been entered.
