Kačina Castle Hosts Flashlight Night Tours on Aug 22

The National Agricultural Museum will run special night tours of Kačina Castle on Saturday, 22 August. From 19:00 until midnight visitors can explore three themed routes using flashlights: the historic Chotkov chambers, the backstage of the castle’s Chotkov theatre, and a mystery performance in the library. A fourth route leads into the castle’s cellar, where participants may encounter local legends such as the “white lady” and other spirits. The tours are guided by Count Jan Rudolf Chotek, who will share stories about the estate’s history and its surrounding park and romantic ruin. Admission includes free access to the exhibition floor, and the event is organized by the museum’s director Pavel Douša.

The programme aims to offer new experiences for repeat visitors and attract families and adults alike, with additional attractions such as a lit greenhouse, herb and vegetable gardens, and a meeting with the castle gardener.
