Kaio Jorge addresses confrontation and Cruzeiro's inconsistency

Cruzeiro striker Kaio Jorge has addressed recent tensions and the team's inconsistent performance during the season. Regarding a confrontation during the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals, Jorge detailed an incident in the anti-doping room where Atlético midfielder Alexsander allegedly insulted and filmed him. Jorge noted that the two players have had previous off-field issues, stating, “He is already annoyed with me because of some off-field things.” The incident resulted in a two-match suspension for Alexsander.

On the pitch, Jorge expressed concerns regarding Cruzeiro's lack of consistency. Following a loss to Bragantino, the striker admitted that his primary fear was the team's inability to maintain high-level play after strong performances, such as their victory against São Paulo. He emphasized the need for a continuous sequence of good matches to regain confidence and satisfy supporters, noting that the squad must perform at a high level given the investments made in the roster.
